Major Announcement for Razorback Football

On Wednesday, the University of Arkansas unveiled designs to build a new football operations center south of Razorback Stadium next to the Walker Indoor Pavilion where the existing practice fields reside. New practice fields will be built on the south side of the Walker Indoor Pavilion.

The estimated construction costs for the project come in around $30 million dollars. Funding for the project was kick-started with a $10 million donation from the Reynolds Foundation and remaining funds will most likely come from private donations.

The Athletic Department will soon seek approval from the University's Board of Trustees prior to moving forward with construction plans. Once the project is approved, the University expects to move quickly on approving a construction plan and initiating construction. Construction is expected to be completed in 18 months, which means it could be ready to go as quickly as the start of the 2012 season. THE DESIGN PLAN
