Improving the defensive backfield is a high priority for Coach Petrino, and they are well on their way to building an extremely solid corps for the coming years. The latest addition is Jerry Mitchell from Mandeville, Louisiana. He's held a scholarship from the Razorbacks for some time now, but he did not commit until after he was able to visit Arkansas. Hurricane Gustav forced his family to evacuate their home town, and they took advantage of the time off and visited the University of Arkansas. He and his family loved it so much that he decided to commit. While his status among recruiting gurus is low right now, expect his rating to increase through his senior season as more evaluators scout him. He is 6'1" and runs a 4.5 40.
